County Cross Country: Sunday Oct 10th 2010

Harriers Win Juvenile Shield

There was another great day’s running at the second round of the county Kilkenny cross-country championships in Castlecomer on Sunday. Top class co-operation between starter John Lennon, Bob Saunders on the PA and secretary Margaret Dillon, saw all fifteen races run off in time to allow all interested parties make their way to Nolan Park for the hurling semi-finals.

KCH finished in front with 27 points. St Senan’s were second with 22 points and Thomastown were third on 18 points.

Most of these athletes will have their next competitive outing when they travel to Mullingar to compete in the Leinster Even-age Championships on 24th October.
