County Kilkenny has a number of thriving Athletics clubs and would be considered to be one of the stronger counties in Leinster at Juvenile level.

Castlecomer AC and Brow Rangers AC are thriving clubs in North Kilkenny.

Kilkenny City Harriers are based in Kilkenny City and also close by are Gowran AC and Thomastown AC. These clubs are also well established and offer coaching and competition in a wide range of athletic events.

Further south are St Joseph’s AC based in the Tullogher Rosbercon area and St Senan’s AC in Kilmacow both of these clubs are very well established and have been competing at the highest levels for a number of years.

Newer clubs that have been formed in recent years include Tullaroan AC, Callan AC, Graigue/Ballycallan AC  and Graiguenamanagh based Barrow Harriers

All these  clubs cater for athletes of all abilities from the local competitor to the elite athlete. The clubs are active on a year round basis with three distinct seasons in the year.
