The races took place in Freshford at the Nuenna Equestrian Centre and it proved an ideal location as it was an easy to find venue with off road parking for everybody and a nice flat course with the going perfect for cross country running. A special word of thanks is due to the Dillon and Maher families for providing the venue.

The relay races provided a chance for the younger athletes to compete over shorter than usual distances and run as a team. As always relay races generate great excitement and interest particularly as there were some very close finishes in a few of the races.

First off were the under 8 individual races for girls and boys and KCH provided the winners in both races. There was a great turnout from Thomastown AC in the boys races with all but one athlete representing Thomastown AC.

At Under 12 the finishes in both races were exciting with KCH making a storming charge to tie with Thomastown for first place in what must of been the race of the day, In the boys race St Josephs held off KCH to take gold with Thomastown in third place
