A number of Kilkenny athletes were in action on day 2 of the Senior Track and Field Championships.
The big success story was the victory of Joanne Cuddihy, KCH, in the womens 400m in a time of 52.15 secs. This was a seasons best time for Joanne and is also inside the B qualification time for the forthcoming World Athletics Championships.
Eoin Muldowney, Castlecomer AC, was in action in the 100m sprints today and was the winner of the B final, his time of 11.42 secs was the 11th fastest overall.
Ciara Everard UCD
Ciara Everard running for UCD AC was 4th in the womens 800m in a time of 2mins 10 secs. Anne Doyle, Gowran AC also competed in the 800m and posted a time of 2.25.
Niall Sheehan, Gowran AC, finished in 10th place in the mens 5000m with a great time of
15.28.
