Co 10 Mile Road Championship/Stook 10

Gary O Hanlon Clonliffe Harriers was the winner of the Stook 10 Open Road Race in a time of 51 mins.

First Kilkenny athlete home was Tommy Evans in  4th overall he was followed by David McPherson, KCH, in 6th place. Jimmy Barcoe, 10th, Gowran was the bronze medal winner in the Co Championships,

Gowran AC were winners the team event and KCH took silver with St Josephs AC winning the bronze medals.

Maria Griffin, St Josephs AC,  was the first Kilkenny athlete home finishing in third place in the womens  race.

In the region of 350 athletes took part in the 10 mile race. Another 150 took place in a shorter  5k family race
