A number of Kilkenny athletes entered the record books in 2012 as a results of their championship best performances at the Leinster Indoor Championships:

Girls’ U-12: Shot Putt:  Therese Kelly Brow Rangers,  8.63

Girls’ U-13:  High Jump: Ciara Deely,  KCH 1.42

Girls’ U-14: Long Jump:  Lauren Gleeson,  K.C.H. 5.13

Girls’ U-18: 200m: Cliodhna Manning,  K.C.H. 25.74

Girls’ U-19: 4 x 200m: K.C.H,  1.48.90

Senior Women: 60m: Louise Holmes K.C.H, 7.90

Junior Men: 60mHurdles:  Eoin Power, St. Joseph’s,  8.68

Masters M6: 35lb Weight:  Murty Kelly, Brow Rangers,   5.26

Masters M9: 60m: John Gorman, Gowran,  10.57

St Josephs’ athlete Shannen Dawkins also had a championship best performance in the Girls’ U-17 60m Hurdles of 9.18 while competing with Horsewood.
