Kilkenny County Road Novice Championship

Mens Winner Eddie O Keefe (KCH)

The County Road Novice Championships for men and women were held today in Kilmacow in conjunction with the Little South Run. The mens race was won by Eddie O Keefe ,KCH, in  23.40 and he was followed home by Tom O Keefe, KCH, in 23.46. Danny Shanahan, Thomastown, won the individaul bronze in a time of 24.24.

In the womens race it was a clean sweep for St Josephs who took all three individual medals along with first and second team.  Sally Forristal lead them home to win individual gold with a time of 25. 23, this time also meant Sally finished in fourth place in the womens race. Silver went to Elaine O Donovan with Anita Barry picking up third place bronze. These three athletes made up the winning Novice team also.
