Kilkenny Athletes were out in force representing their scools at the Ireland Track and Field in Tullamore on Saturday. Many of them came away with medals and a few were unlucky not to do so.
Sophie Parkinson Kilkenny College was a double medal winner with a gold and silver in the Discus and Shot. Cliodhna Manning took and silver and bronze in the sprints and Louise Holmes in the senior girls won gold and silver in the sprints. Laura Langton, Pres Kilkenny, overcame injury to finish 3rd in the hurdles and James Maher, St Kierans, improved his time massively to snatch the bronze in the 1500m.
