The County Road Novice championships took place just outside Gowran on the Dungarvan Road on Friday June 10th

Pat O Reilly, Thomastown AC completed the 4 mile mens course in a time of 23mins and 36 secs to claim the  title.

In the womens race, run over 1500m Mary Ellen Doyle, Gowran AC, was a comfortable winner in a time of 6mins 15 secs and was followed home by Leona Connolly, Gowran AC (6mins 35secs) with Martina Prendergast, Gowran AC in  third place in a time of 7.20.
