At the U17 Schools International Match in Cardiff on Saturday 16th Kilkenny athletes did well
On the track KCH athlete Cliodhna Manning (Loreto Kilkenny) was 2nd in the 200m (25.21) and Nessa Cooper Millet (Kilkenny College) was 3rd in the 300m hurdles (44.67).
In the relay races Ireland were 2nd in the 4x100m (Cliodhna Manning) and also 2nd in the 4x300m (Nessa Cooper Millet).
In the field events Gowran AC Athlete Sophie Parkinson (Kilkenny College) was 4th in the discus (37.37) and 6th in the shot putt(10.90). KCH athlete Lorraine O Shea (St Brigids Callan) was 4th in the long jump (5.33).
In the overall team event England were winners with Ireland in second place followed by Wales 3rd and Scotland 4th.
