In the Irish Runner 5 mile road race Tommy Evans, Gowran Ac finished 5th in a time of 25.16, David McPherson, KCH, was 24th in 27.39.
Brian Maher, KCH, ran a 3K race in Manchester in 8.10 equalling his PB
TriGrandPrix Ireland hosted the Kilkenny triathlon on Saturday attracting in excess of 800 competitors.
Niamh Richardson, KCH, once again showed her outstanding fitness, stamina and skill to take first place in the over forty section and third place overall.
Tommy Evans, Gowran AC had an excellent 2nd place in the Daingean, Co Offaly 5K road race on Sat July 30th. Tommy posted an excellent time of 15.07 for the distance
Brian Maher, KCH, was in action in the Alexander Stadium in Birmingham on Friday night 29th July. Competing in the UK trials 10K on the track he completed the race in a new personal best time of 29 minutes 44.18 seconds. He finished in 15th place in a top class field.
Brian’s next competitive outing will be for the AAI Senior track and field championships in the Morton Stadium, Santry, this weekend where he is expected to compete in the 10K.
Other KCH athletes competing will be Teresa Conlon (Hammer), Jonathan Holmes (100m), Eoin Everard (800/1500), Joanne Cuddihy (400), Lorraine O’Shea (Long Jump) and Laura Langton 100m (Hurdles/Long Jump).
