It was with great regret and sadness that we learned today, Sat July 23rd, of the sudden and  untimely death of Sean Kelly

Sean Kelly RIP

after a short illness.

Sean  currently held the position Treasurer of Kilkenny Co Board and was an invaluable part of the management team of athletics in Co Kilkenny. He was also very active with his own club Kilkenny City Harriers and was recently very involved in the setting up of a club room in Scanlon Park.

Sean will be greatly missed by the athletics community in Co Kilkenny and beyond and our sympathies go to his wife and daughters .

Sean will always be remembered fondly and with great respect by all  both for his great contribution to athletics and as a person who was always friendly and easy to get on with.
