The National Juvenile Combined Events and B Championships were held in Tullamore this weekend 30th, 31st July.
Once again Kilkenny Athletes tasted success with Eoin Power St Josephs in the U18 Octathlon and David McGeary KCH in the U19 Octathlon winning Gold. Jack Saunders, St Josephs finished in the silver medal position in the U19 Octathlon and Catriona Twomey KCH also won silver in the U17 Pentathlon while Aaron Fenlon St Josephs was the bronze medal winner in the U16 Pentathlon. Aaron Barron, KCH also competed in the U15 Pentathlon but picked up an injury in his High jump event which left him unable to take part in the final 800m.
In the National B Championships Brow Rangers athletes had a good day out with Roisin Coady taking silver in the U13 Shot and Aoife Coady also taking silver in the U16 Shot. Emma Kelly and Ciaran Coady also competed for Brow. Gowran athlete Sean O Neill was the gold medal winner in the Boys U16 800m. Gowran also had two athletes in 4th place finishes with Sinead Naddy 4th in the u16 High jump and Sean O Neill finishing 4th in the U16 High Jump. Kevon Power, St Josephs was 6th in the U13 Shot Putt
