The women’s 4x400m team of Marian Heffernan, Joanne Cuddihy, Claire Bergin and Michelle Carey ran a new Irish record of 3:27.48 but their 12th place finish was not god enough to reach the final.
This time puts the team in the top 16 in the world and in with a strong possibilty of Olympic Qualification in 2012
