Brian Maher, KCH, completed the National Half Marathon in 66 mins and 40 secs today and finished in second place. Nial Sheehan Gowran AC 1.10. 58 , David McPherson, KCH 1.12.36, and Paul Cody 1.15.08.

Other Kilkenny athletes taking part in the race which was held today, Sept 3rd, in Waterford were Niall Lacey 1.18.55, Davy Hogan 1.21.29, Johann Dewberry 1.30.36 and Steve Dermody KCH 1.34.34 (M40), Lyndon Barcoe Gowran AC 1.22.51, Patrick Bookle St Josephs 1.21.59 (M40), Mick Walsh, Gowran AC (M55) 1.35 .
Maria Griffin, St Josephs had a great run and was the first Kilkenny Woman Athlete to finish. Deirdre Scott 1.43.14 , Breegeen Murphy1.46.03, Ann Power1.43 and Geraldine Nolan 1.52, Niamh Holden 2.05 competed for KCH. Maria Griffin 1.24 (w40), Mary Doolan and Verena Fenlon 1.47 for St Josephs, Adele Walsh, 1.41 also competed.
