KCH win individual and team Prize in Ferns 4 mile Road Race

Kilkenny City Harriers, led by Brian Maher, put in a top quality performance to take home the Mick Murphy perpetual Cup from the annual memorial Four Mile road race in Ferns on Saturday evening.

Maher, who currently holds the title for fastest finisher in this event – 19 minutes 34 seconds –  was first across the finish line in 19 minutes 48 seconds. Team mates David McPherson, Toss Hayes and Paul Cody  followed in the respective times of 21.00, 21.08 and 21.36 to clinch team victory. Gowran’s Paul Deegan also ran well to finish in 21.14.
