Eoin Everard, KCH, ran the perfect race in the Curragh today and captured the national Novice Cross Country Title. The 6K race was run at a frenetic pace from start to finish. Everard was with the leading group from the start and as the group reduced in number it was finally down to two athletes with Kevin Seaward from St Malachy’s Belfast pushing the pace and “Head Waiter” Everard comfortably on his shoulder. Everard made his move on the last lap and having opened a 10 metre gap never looked in danger of being caught despite the best efforts of the Belfast man. Tos Hayes, KCH also ran well and finished in 14th postion with Conor Rochford, St Senans finishing in 26th place. Eamon O Connor KCH (85th), Sean Caulfield St Senans (91st) and David McPherson (123rd) were the scorers on the county team
