Junior Cross Country
KCH Junior Ladies finished 5th in the National Inter-club Cross-country in Tullamore today. Anna Sheehan continued her good form with an 11th place finish and Aoibhe Richardson in 15th was also running well. Annie Condren 25th and Nicola Murphy 28th completed the scoring. The Thomastown Junior squad finished just behind them in sixth place. They were lead home by Maeve O Connor in 23rd position closely followed by Sinead Whelan (24th) along with Niamh O Shea in 27th positon and Laura Walpole 31st .
In the Junior Mens Race Sean Power of Thomastown finished in 18th position
Cross Country Relays
However there was some medal success for Kilkenny in the Inter-county Juvenile Cross Country relays. The KCH team of Rebecca Keane, Ella Richardson, Leah Raggett and Martyna Balcer represented the county in the Girls U-14 4x250m. They finished in third place with a good performance and were rewarded with bronze All-Ireland medals. In the Girls U-12 relay race Kilkenny were represented by Thomastown and in a very close contest they finished in 7th position, Ciara O Keefe, Emily Taylor, Sinead O Keefe and Orla O Keefe made up the Thomastown squad
