Aoife Hickey, KCH, going well in the Hammer

Aoife Hickey’s  Hammer saga continues. Over the last four weeks on the Intervarsity circuit in the United States she has continued to notch up PB’s on a weekly basis.

First it was 57.30 in San Diego, then 57.47 in Los Angeles followed by 58.51 in Utah.

On Friday last in Arizona she has done it again with a massive 59.87. This places her in second place, behind Eileen O’Keeffe, in the Irish Women’s Hammer Rankings, displacing Rachel Akers of Marian athletic club who held that position since 2007 when she threw 59.12
