National Indoor Championships Day 1: Kilkenny Results

Some great performances today at the National Indoor Championships.

On the track Sarah Kate Lacey, KCH,  won gold in the 60m (U-19) with Margaret Caldbeck, KCH taking bronze in the same race.

Also in the 60m David Murphy, Gowran (U-15) and jack Elliot, St Josephs  (U-14) were silver medal winners, while St Josephs athletes Aaron Fenlon (U-19) and Sophie Becker (U-18) finished in fourth place in their races. Jordan Knight, Thomastown finshed 5th (U-12) and Callan Byrne was 7th (U-18).

In the  600m Killian Griffin, St Josephs (u-13) finished 4th and Cathal Beirne (u-12) 14th overall.

In the walks there was a silver medal for Isabel Morgan, St Senans (u-16) and fifth place finish for Sinead O Keefe, Thomastown (U-12).

In the Field Events Ciara Deeley, KCH,  was the gold medal winner in the High Jump (U-15) and Kieran O Neill, Gowran (U-13), David Murphy, Gowran (U-15) and Jack Manning (U-17) all won bronze in their respective events
