Cross Country Fixtures to note

Cross Country Season has started – spikes have been changed (or should be by now) and vanity has been cast aside in favour of muddy legs. Cross Country is an excellent way to build up strength and stamina for all track and field events – lessening the chance of injury and increasing your cardio vascular output in a less invasive way. For all cross country enthusiasts and non enthusiastic participants – here are a few fixtures to note:

Sept 24th St Senan’s AC 40th annual open Cross Country, Kilmacow 1pm

Oct 1st Masters (O40) & County Juvenile Even Age Cross-Country Championships Ballycurran Cross 11am

Oct 8th County Senior Cross Country Kilmacow 12 noon

Oct 8th Country Juvenile Training Session Kilmacow 11am

Oct 15th Masters (O45) & County Juvenile Uneven Age Cross-Country Championships Castlecomer 11am

Oct 28th Leinster Cross-Country Championships TBC

Oct 29th National, Leinster and County Marathon Dublin

Nov 5th County Novice and Bs (Evens) TBC

Nov 12th Leinster Cross-Country Championships TBC

Nov 18th Stook 10  Mile (County 10 mile championships) Dungarvan

Nov 26th AAI Juvenile Even Age Cross Country Championships Abbottstown, Dublin
