With the murky muddy slopes of the All Ireland Schools Cross country the day before, today the athletes revelled in the warmer and softer surroundings of the Indoor arena in Athlone. It was a welcome reprieve from packing wellies, raincoats and hot flasks of soup. Some great results by Kilkenny athletes, across an array of events. Exhausted parents and equally exhausted coaches braved the long day as their athletes enjoyed the confines of the arena and the company of fellow athletes in other clubs. It is a great forum for getting to know your competitors off the track.
