2019 National Indoor CE

There was a limited number of athletes from around the county that participated in the National Indoor Combined Events at the weekend. Possibly a little early in the season for most juveniles to be competition ready. Nonetheless there were some National medals returning to Kilkenny.
St Josephs AC had two competitors both getting the bronze medal. In the Youth Boys Jordan Knight was 3rd – scoring well in his favourite event the Long Jump. Evan O’Toole also secured a 3rd placing in the boys u16 event – the Long Jump going well for him too.
Jennifer Leahy (KCH) finished 2nd in the Youth Girls Combined events with Alex Cullen (KCH) just short of a medal in the boys u13.
In the Masters ladies Verona Fenlon was 3rd in the 40 to 49 category. Great showing in these masters CE competitions.
