KILKENNY INTERNATIONAL ATHLETES AT SIAB’S

Three Kilkenny athletes were left very disappointed this week with the cancellation of all events due to the Covit-19 virus. While it has been a necessity to protect our population against any harm that this virus may cause, all three were deprived of their opportunity to compete for Ireland in the Schools International Cross Country in Falkirk, Scotland. For David Williams (St Senans and St Kieran’s) it would have been his second international selection in 3 months. However for Caoimhe Phelan (St Senans and Abbey CC) and Billy Coogan (Gowran and CBS Kilkenny) it was the first time being selected for an Irish team. There will of course be more opportunities for these talented athletes.
