St Senans top of the County

St Senans AC were crowned the “Best Club in the County” at the second stage of the Kilkenny County Juvenile Championships in Castlecomer today. With hurricane Ophelia threatening our shores, the southern club unleashed a storm of victories across a plethora of races – demonstrating that they are a force to be contended with, when it comes to cross country. Lovers of Cross Country will be more than thrilled with today’s events, when in excess of 70 athletes lined up at the start of most of the juvenile races. One would be forgiven for thinking that it was the Leinster Championships that were being staged. Thanks to all the clubs for making a huge effort to show cross country at its best. And to all the athletes from coming out to support their clubs. This means alot to your coaches. Thanks to Castlecomer for organising the event. And to the weather gods for giving us a day’s grace in the weather!!!
