2018 Counties Day 4 Juveniles

Ok so the long awaited results for the Best Juvenile Club in the county goes to ……. KCH. Well done to all the athletes and coaches. It was a close battle – just 25 points to spare over Gowran AC in 2nd, with St Senans in 3rd. It all rested on the final discipline – the Hammer. Gowran AC closed the gap from 38 points to 25 points – just not quiet enough to edge out KCH, the long time holders of this accolade. One must have to go back as far as the 1980s to find another club in the county who held the title. Back in 1982, 1983 and perhaps 1984 St Senans AC held the prized shield. The pressure is on for next year. Well done to all who participated in the counties this year – from all clubs across the county. You have all contributed to the success and enjoyment that we continue to experience from this wonderful sport.
