COUNTY RELAYS & SC XCOUNTRY

A great turnout in the Castle Park today for the county cross country relays and senior short course cross country championships. With alot of competitions being held over the weekend, the turnout in the senior events was somewhat lower than expected. But we know this will turn around for the up and coming county cross country in October. The juvenile relays on the other hand had amazing turnouts in some races – 18 teams in the girls u/11 for example and almost 40 athletes in each of the open u7 and u9 races. Looking forward to the county cross country already!. Gowran AC with their sheer numbers amassed the most points from the relays with St Josephs winning a fantastic treble in the girls u/11,13 and 15.
