2019 ALL IRELAND INDOORS DAY 3

A great day for St Josephs and KCH. Jordan Knight leaped into a PB when he won the boys u17 Long Jump at the National Indoors in Abbottstown. Depsite having no legal jumpp with one to go – he leaped into the lead with his 3rd jump (6.23m) securing the lead and three more jumps as part of the top 8. All his further jumps were ove 6m.

KCH girls u12 won the inaugeral 4x200m with a new championship best performance – a full second to spare over Rathoat AC. The team of Ruth Crowley, Laura Leahy, Clodagh O’Callaghan, & Molly Daly with sub Aoibhe Quinn ran an amazing race and were jubliant as they proudly wore their medals for the remainder of the day.
The KCH girls u15 team scored a new PB when they finished 2nd. The team of Abbie O’Brien, Amelie Foley, Orla Kenny, Ella Delahunty and sub Blaithin Holden have a long history of success at the relay events.
The county had two 4th places in Thomastown girls u18 and St Josephs boys u17.
Well done to everyone – medals or no medals its a great experience and priveledge to compete at nationall level.
