2019 Autumn Open and USA

Well done to Aoibhe Richardson and Peter Lynch (both KCH) who did some pre regional races in the USA recently. Aoibhe won an Invitational race in Indiana at LaVerne, the same locations as the NCAA at the end of November. She won the race with 14 seconds to spare. Racing for the University of San Francisco, this is Aoibhe’s second win in the last month.
Meanwhile Peter Lynch racing for the University of Tulsa was 14th in an Invitational race in Wisconsin. He was first home for his college. His team were 3rd which is very significant for Tulsa.
At the Spar Abbotstown Open Cross Country Shay McEvoy (KCH) made inroads into proving his ability to make this years Irish Junior Cross Country team. He finished 3rd in the Junior race, beating significant athletes in the process.
Brian Maher (KCH) the masters athlete nonpareil won the over 40s race for the 3rd year in a row. In fact his time was so good he finished 12th overall in the Senior race. Eoin Everard (KCH) was 11th in the Senior race.
