Jordan Knight takes the National Award
The final awards ceremony of the year took place in Athlone on Saturday where Jordan Knight (St Joseph’s AC) received the highest Juvenile accolade – National Athlete of the year. Representing our county Jordan had a fantastic year in 2019, cumulating in two International representations. In July he competed in the 4 x 400m relay in the Schools International in Wales while in August he ran the 400m and the 4 x 400m relay in the Youth Nations International in Dublin. No stranger to awards this year Jordan has already received the Leinster male athlete of the year for Kilkenny and just last weekend the Kilkenny Athletics best overall track and field juvenile award. With three big awards under his belt for 2019, he has already started the 2020 season on a great note with his recent Leinster Indoor wins.
