The National Schools Cross Country

Huge congratulations to all those who had qualified and travelled to the Schools All-Ireland XC in Mallusk over the weekend. There was team silverware for both Loreto Kilkenny and Kieran’s College, while Daniel Greene Borris College and Kyrell Mtinsi also won individual medals with Daniel running in 3^rd in a time of 7:55 and Kyrell placing 4^th in his time of 15:37. Loreto Kilkenny who had claimed gold in the team event in Leinster’s retained the top spot again in the All-Irelands finishing on 66 points well clear of 2^nd place St. Marys of Macroom. Kieran’s College Inter Boys team led home by Kyrell also held onto their Leinster 3^rd place podium finish in the Nationals with the team finishing on 191 points overall. Full results:
