IWA National Championships

The IWA National Championships got underway in SETU on Saturday last, with three Kilkenny athletes all competing on the day. Naoise Reddy St. Joseph’s, Kang O’Gorman Brow Rangers and Alex Donnellan Gowran were all in action for track and field events. Naoise won gold in discus, silver in shotput and bronze in javelin. Naoise also took 2^nd place in her 100m and 200m track event. Kang won gold in long jump, javelin, discus and shot put. He also won bronze in 100m and 5^th in 200m. Alex won gold in shotput, silver in discus and javelin, and also set two new PB’s in discus and javelin too.
