A great days racing in Navan today for the Leinster Even age Juveniles and Novice. The county won the girls u/12 and 14, Girls u/18 and Boys u/18, with second place in the Boys u/14, and third in the Girls and Boys u/16. This places Kilkenny, as a county amongst the Strongest County for Cross Country, in Leinster. A fantastic individual win for Hannah Kehoe of Gowran u/14 and Adam Fitzpatrick of KCH in the Boys u/18. The first 12 individuals will go forward as part of the Leinster Team to the Nationals in Abbotstown on 26 Nov. The top 4 counties and clubs also qualify. St Senans AC had 3 clubs get into the medals today, with Thomastown securing one set of Club medals and KCH two.
Kilkenny ladies swooped the gold in the Novice Ladies with Lauren Dearmody leading the quartet home in 2nd. Well done to all the athletes who competed in the Novice Men’s event. Out of the county medals but looking strong for the next time around.
