2019 National 5km Road Championships

Well done to Bronagh Kearns (St Senans) who was 3rd today in the National 5km Road Championships in the Phinoex park, Dublin. The winner was Catriona McKiernan (Ananalee) in 17.15, with Mary Mulhare of Portlaoise 2nd in 17.29 and Bronagh 3rd in 17.41 – a new PB to add to the one she got 3 weeks ago. Great to see Bronagh running so well over the last year – one should remember not too long ago she finished her juvenile career with 3rd in the u19 Cross Country, 1st in the 1,500m and 2nd in the 3,000m u19 Track and Field All Irelands. Proving of course that all the great ladies that are out there at the moment can also complete that transition from juvenile to senior. Takes time and patience but both are inate traits we all have.
